Which program for you? Perso, semi-perso or one-shot
Last updated: April 28, 2026
On Unbrokn, coaches offer 3 program formats: perso (1-on-1), semi-personalized (shared group), one-shot (full autonomy). Not obvious to choose if you're new.
This short quiz helps you identify the format that matches your budget, individualization needs, commitment and goal. Instant result with your top format + the other 2 as backup.
The 3 formats in detail
Personal program (1-on-1)
The coach builds your program specifically for you. Weekly adjustments based on your feedback, fatigue, progression. Pricing set by the coach. The most thorough follow-up, for specific goals or specific constraints.
Semi-personalized program
The coach builds a program shared by a group of athletes (typically 5 to 50 people). Same sessions for all, sometimes adapted via PR percentages. Monthly subscription. Leaderboard if enabled. Ideal for box or club community.
One-shot program
Ready-to-use program, fixed duration (4 to 16 weeks). One-time payment, autonomous follow. Ideal for event prep (race, marathon, HYROX) or short-term goal.
Decision key
- Low budget + autonomy: one-shot or modest semi-perso subscription.
- Mid budget + community: semi-perso.
- Premium budget + close follow-up: perso.
- Specific event: one-shot prep-oriented.
- Long-term continuity: perso or semi-perso.
You can combine
Many athletes mix: a perso for specific work (weakness, injury) + a semi-perso for daily volume. On Unbrokn, follow multiple programs in parallel without technical overhead.
FAQ
Is perso always more expensive?
Often yes, since it's 1-on-1 coach time. But some coaches offer accessible perso (30-50 €/month) with monthly check-ins.
Can I switch from semi-perso to perso?
Yes, no problem. Many coaches encourage it when athletes need more individualization.
Does one-shot include support?
Varies by coach. Some include messaging for questions, others don't. Check the program page before buying.
